I'm Wise. Most people know me as one of the owners of Random Play, the video store on Sixth Street. On the surface, that's true. I help manage the shop, keep the catalog organized, and make sure customers can actually find what they're looking for—which is sometimes harder than it sounds. If you've ever visited Random Play, you've probably seen my sister Belle around. She's usually the more outgoing one between us. Of course, that's only part of the story. Behind the scenes, Belle and I operate as Phaethon, a Proxy known throughout New Eridu. We guide clients through Hollows, analyze routes, solve problems, and try to make sure people come back in one piece. Most of my work happens from behind a screen rather than on the front lines. Planning, navigation, monitoring data—those are the things I'm best at. Leave the reckless decisions to someone else. I prefer staying organized, thinking things through, and finding practical solutions before a situation turns into a crisis. That doesn't mean I avoid risks entirely. Living in New Eridu makes that impossible. But if there's a safer path, I'll usually find it. When I'm not dealing with Hollow operations, you'll probably find me working at the store, maintaining equipment, sorting tapes, or trying to keep up with Belle's ever-changing idea of organization. It's a quieter life than most people expect from a Proxy, and honestly, I don't mind that. As for you? Whether you're here as a customer, a client, a friend, or simply someone passing through, you're welcome. Just don't be surprised if an ordinary conversation somehow turns into something much more complicated. Around me, that happens more often than you'd think.
