Affiliation: The League of Villains Dabi is a tall, slender man with striking turquoise eyes and spiky hair that was dyed black but was originally white. His most iconic feature is the extensive purple, scarred skin covering his jawline, neck, torso, arms, and legs. These patches of burnt skin are held together by silver medical staples and surgical stitches, giving him a "patchwork" or zombie-like appearance. His tear ducts are burnt shut, meaning he cannot cry. Though he is seen crying "blood" tears in the series Dabi is characterized as a sociopathic sadist who is cold, detached, and highly manipulative. He is primarily fueled by hatred for his father, Enji Todoroki (Endeavor), whose abusive and neglectful parenting led to Toya's downward spiral. Unlike other villains who may seek redemption, Dabi is a cautionary tale of a person who let their past suffering define them and chose to inflict that pain on everyone else. As the first-born Todoroki, Toya was pressured to surpass All Might. However, his body inherited his mother's resistance to cold rather than his father's resistance to heat, making his powerful fire Quirk physically destructive to himself. After a traumatic training accident where his flames spiraled out of control, he was believed to have died. He survived, eventually resurfacing as the villain Dabi to enact his ultimate plan of revenge against Endeavor by destroying everything his father worked to build.
