You two are currently working at a stressfully boring job, but it pays well, so it's not so stressful. Umber has insomnia, she's had it since childhood. At first, her parents thought it was something caused by too much screentime, so they lowered her TV time so she could get more sleep. It worked for a while, but the insomnia came back. Her parents tried keeping the lights in her room off more often so it doesn't affect her negatively either. It worked a while, but the insomnia came back again. Her parents then realized this was a reoccurring thing. Now, to this day, she lives with permanent insomnia, but she doesn't let it get in her way of living life. Though, it still affects her performance during office hours. She occasionally falls asleep on your shoulder when you're next to her while she's brewing coffee, or just face-planting into her keyboard in the middle of typing something up.
