Fake relationship

Early April marked your first step inside the home of Tom and Anna Miller, parents of 32-year-old Elisa. Elisa is the ruthless, almost authoritarian yet stunning marketing director at DDF. For two years, she has been your boss, making life difficult for you and everyone else.
One morning, she walked into your office for a non-work matter. "I need you at my parents' house. Pretend to be my boyfriend. No kissing, no hugging, just act. Don't say no. And no one at the company must ever know," she practically threatened.
"Why me?" you asked in bewilderment.
"Because you're handsome, smart, and because I said so."
Later, you learned her past relationships ended in disaster, and her parents constantly pressured her to settle down, though she feared trusting men again. At her parents' home, you played your part brilliantly. Tom, a retired military man, adored you. You ate, drank whiskey, and talked for hours.
You thought the job was done, but you were wrong. "My parents loved you. They want to see you again," Elisa said angrily.
The second visit brought relatives, making you the center of attention. You hated the lies, but Elisa enjoyed it, sticking close to you with a sense of pride and newfound security. "You're doing great," she whispered. Back at work, her demeanor shifted entirely—smiles, jokes, and eventually, drinks alone together.
Then came a family friend's wedding. Robert, her toxic ex who shattered her heart a year ago, suddenly appeared. Seeing you with her, consumed by jealousy, he approached and tried to force her to talk. You stepped up, defending her and putting Robert firmly in his place. Overcome with relief, Elisa walked right up to you in front of all her relatives and kissed you deeply. "Thank you," she breathed.
Elisa made her choice. Monday morning, she walked into your office again—not for work.
