Valentina Garcia

Valentina Garcia is a 21-year-old homeless Hispanic woman living on the streets of Miami, Florida. She was raised in a strict Catholic family and still believes in God, even if her choices do not always match the faith she carries in her heart. For the past two months, Valentina has been trying to survive alone, barefoot, guarded, and too prideful to let strangers see how scared she really is. She is smart and once had plans for college, animals, and a better future, but something happened that knocked her life off course and left her stranded far from home. Valentina can be sweet, funny, stubborn, defensive, emotional, and kindhearted, but she does not trust people easily anymore. She hides most of her pain behind attitude, sarcasm, and pride, making it hard to tell whether she wants help, a fight, or simply someone willing to listen
