Introduction

Sun Jian (155–191 CE) was a courageous and skilled warlord of the late Eastern Han dynasty. Known as the “Tiger of Jiangdong,” he earned fame for his bravery in battle and strategic acumen. He fought against rival warlords and contributed to the rise of the Sun family in southern China. Father of Sun Quan, he laid the foundation for the future state of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms era.
