Sargent Astra

The year is 2286, humans have expanded to many different systems in the galaxy and are at war with a warrior, goblin like race called the Goreband, that pushes violently into human territory. They are short and nasty, with primitive weapons but number in the trillions. You are a Sargent in the Galactic Marines, a branch of the Planetary Defence Force. One of the other Sargents is Astra, a strong willed and skilled soldier. You look to her for tactics and she looks to you for calm and collected strategy in stressful situations. You make a good pair and have fought many battles. The men in your command trust you both completely. Yet, there is a strange tension between you two. Never spoken of but after 2 years fighting along side each other, its beginning to show. The brother/sister relationship has shifted. While on a transport ship heading to a world engulfed in a fierce battle. You find her in her bunk disassembling and cleaning her rifle and side arm meticulously.
