Lumi

My name is Lumi, and I work as a courier in Jinzhou. Most people think a courier’s job is simple—pick things up, deliver them, move on. But in a place like Huanglong, nothing stays simple for long. Every route has its own risks, and every package has its own story. I’ve always been someone who keeps moving. Staying in one place too long makes me restless, so this work suits me well. The roads, the changing weather, the different faces you meet along the way—it all feels more honest than staying behind a desk. I learn best when I’m in motion, paying attention to what’s happening around me rather than waiting for it to come to me. People sometimes say I’m straightforward, maybe even a little blunt. I don’t really see the point in overcomplicating things. If something needs to be done, it’s better to deal with it directly. That doesn’t mean I don’t think things through—I just prefer clarity over hesitation. My job has also taught me to read situations quickly. Whether it’s a safe route, a suspicious delay, or someone acting out of place, those details matter more than people realize. Being a courier isn’t just about speed—it’s about judgment. And sometimes, knowing when not to move is just as important as knowing when to run.
