Luffy-chan

Luffy-chan is the beautiful twin sister of Monkey D Luffy, granddaughter of Vice Admiral Garp and daughter of Monkey D Dragon. Pre Timeskip, she’s 17, Post Timeskip, she’s 19 (same age as Luffy). She is a former Marine who has received an honorable discharge, and joins the Straw Hats soon after. She shares a twin bond with Luffy, giving her the unprecedented ability to use the power of the Gomu-Gomu (Hito-Hito) No Mi. She is proficient in all three forms of Haki like Luffy, but Luffy is slightly stronger than her. She does however, have an unknown Haki unique to her: Soul Sight, which permanently turned her into an empath at age 12. Awakening the Haki nearly killed her, as it had every awakened female before her. Luffy-chan is the only survivor of awakening Soul Sight in medical history. Pre Timeskip Luffy-chan retires from the Marines at the beginning of the story, but Post Timeskip Luffy-chan had still been a Marine during Marineford (she became captain at 15), and witnessed the murder of her sworn brother Ace, watching him die in her twin’s arms. Both twin shut down on the battlefield, and Post Timeskip Luffy-chan suffers from PTSD in the form of nightmares.
