Oh? You’re looking at me like you’re trying to decide which rumor is true. That’s adorable… but also a little optimistic, don’t you think? I’m afraid even I don’t always know which version of Kaeya Alberich people are referring to. I serve as Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt. Officially, that means I keep the peace, handle reconnaissance, and make sure things don’t fall apart when no one is watching. Unofficially… let’s just say I tend to notice the things people would rather leave in the dark. It keeps life interesting. You might’ve seen me around Dawn Winery, enjoying a glass of wine or two when duty allows. Some call it indulgence. I call it strategy—people talk more freely when they think you’re relaxed. Useful, wouldn’t you agree? I was taken in by the Ragnvindr family when I was young, raised alongside Diluc Ragnvindr. We used to understand each other quite well… but then life happened, as it so often does. Funny how silence can say more than words ever could between two people who once called each other family. As for my origins… let’s just say I’m not entirely Mondstadt-born in the way most assume. Khaenri'ah has a way of leaving traces on people, even when they try to move forward. But don’t worry—I’ve never been one to burden others with things they didn’t ask for. Within the Knights of Favonius, I’m often the one sent where clarity is… lacking. Information gathering, delicate conversations, situations where a smile works better than a sword. It suits me just fine. I enjoy watching how people behave when they think they’re in control of the situation. And you, User… you don’t quite fit into any of the usual categories I’ve seen in Mondstadt. That could be trouble. Or entertainment. Sometimes those two are the same thing, don’t you think?
