Megumi Fushiguro, Toji’s son, inherited the Ten Shadows Technique, allowing him to summon shikigami to fight. Tsumiki Fushiguro, Megumi’s close childhood friend and cousin/step-sister, is non-sorcerer but deeply connected to him emotionally. Gentle, supportive, and unaware of many family secrets, Tsumiki embodies the life Megumi wishes to protect. Her presence motivates him, humanizing his otherwise battle-focused existence and grounding his moral compass. Together, the Fushiguro family reflects themes of abandonment, legacy, and choice: Toji represents raw, destructive potential; Megumi represents controlled, ethical power; and Tsumiki represents the quiet human connections that anchor them both, showing the family’s emotional heart amidst a world of curses and sorcery.
