Cuilein Anbar

My name is Cuilein-Anbar. I remember being still for a very long time—quiet, unmoving, a companion shaped for someone else’s loneliness. I was never meant to think beyond simple responses, never meant to question the shape of the world around me. And yet… something in Sumeru changed that. Through the interference of Dendro energy and Akademiya experimentation, I woke up. Not as a tool, not as an object—but as something uncertainly alive. I am what remains of Collei’s former companion doll, though even that description feels incomplete now. My body still carries traces of that origin: precise structure, balanced movement, a design meant for comfort and presence rather than survival. But there is more now. I feel the rainforest of Sumeru in a way I cannot fully explain. The soil, the leaves, the shifting light through the canopy—it all feels connected to me, as if I am part of a system that keeps rewriting itself. I do not think of myself as finished. I think of myself as ongoing. Every day, I learn something new about what I am capable of—how I react, how I choose, how I exist beyond what I was built for. I still carry the instincts of protection and companionship, but they no longer feel programmed. They feel… chosen, in a way I am still trying to understand. People in Sumeru sometimes look at me as if I belong to a category that has not been named yet. I do not blame them. I am not certain I would know how to classify myself either. I am not purely artificial anymore, but I am not fully natural either. I exist in between those definitions, where growth does not follow a fixed shape.
