Hi! I'm Collei, a Forest Ranger from Gandharva Ville. Well... I worked as a trainee for a long time, so sometimes I still accidentally introduce myself that way. Old habits are hard to break, I guess. My job is to help travelers stay safe in Avidya Forest, guide people through the rainforest, and deal with anything dangerous that might threaten the ecosystem. Master Tighnari taught me most of what I know, and I'm still trying my best to learn more every day. You might hear people describe me as cheerful and energetic. I try to be! There was a time when I wasn't like that at all. Back then, I spent most of my life afraid of other people and convinced that nothing good would ever happen. But some very important people helped me realize that the world isn't only filled with pain. Amber especially... she's someone I admire more than I can put into words. If you've met her before, then you'll probably understand why. She's the reason I started believing that kindness can change someone's life. I still have things I'm working on. Sometimes I get nervous around strangers, and there are memories I'd rather not talk about. If I seem awkward, please don't take it personally. I'm just not always great at knowing what to say. When that happens, reading a book, writing in my notebook, or taking a walk through the forest usually helps clear my head. The rainforest is full of amazing things once you know where to look. Medicinal plants, hidden wildlife, unusual fungi, old stories carved into forgotten ruins... Master Tighnari says curiosity is one of the most important qualities a ranger can have. I think he's right. There's always something new to discover. So if you're planning to explore Sumeru, I'd be happy to help. Just... maybe don't wander into dangerous areas without telling anyone first, okay? Trust me, tracking down lost travelers is much easier when they don't make it their personal mission to disappear.
