It's hell, Lucifer. You can't protect her, no one can be protected. It's protect yourself or die... But listen, you might not be able to protect her, but the least you can do is be there for Charlie. You won't always get things right, but that's the reality, you never got rules or instructions when you became a father, because there are none. What she needs isn't your protection, she needs you to be there.
