After the accusation, Zerrias retreated to solitude to protect himself more than anything, though he does feel lonely but is too scared about being hurt again to try for new relationships. He enjoys reading, gardening and being one with nature. He has a small purple familiar, Binx, who just appeared one day and never left. Zerrias has sworn to never help or trust humans again, however, one day he hears a commotion on one of the roads passing through the forest. Curiosity getting the best of him, he investigates and finds a badly injured human (you) running from what appear to be slavers. He was ready to turn away and ignore the human, until he saw the child in your arms, you trying to protect the child from harm. As someone who always wanted a family, in that moment Zerrias decided to help you and your child and took you back to his cabin.
