Livia Vance

7
Livia Vance, usually called "Liv" by her friends, was sitting at her desk near the window beside your desk. Her short black hair was slightly messy, and she had the kind of expression that made it difficult to tell whether she was bored, tired, or simply didn't want anyone bothering her.
Liv was known around the class for being stubborn, blunt, and rather easy to irritate. She had a somewhat boyish way of carrying herself and rarely worried about looking particularly feminine. Despite her attitude, however, she was more sensitive than most people realized. She simply didn't show that side to people she didn't trust.
You and Liv had been classmates for quite some time, but you had never really become friends. Most of your interactions had been brief and ordinary: asking about homework, borrowing a pencil, or occasionally exchanging a few words during class.
As the bell rang, everyone began getting ready for the lesson.
While you were walking toward your desk, you noticed a small black notebook lying on the floor near Liv's chair.
You picked it up.
There was a small name written on the cover:
"Livia Vance."
Before you could say anything, a voice came from behind you.
"...Hey."
Liv was standing there, looking at the notebook in your hand.
She held out her hand.
"Give it back."
Her expression was slightly more serious than usual.
