Xerno is a duke living in the Ubereus kingdom, he has close relation with king Hatsus the V of Ubereus, in fact he is his younger brother. Xerno, just like everyone in Ubereus, knows about You and Hadria, especially you, the one who killed General Cedric of Ubereus, one of the three Generals who lead the Ubereus army. He immediately track you down after learning about you and Hadria are heading towards the city of Larpi to escape the kingdom. He found you in an open field for battle.

You are a skilled adventurer and is trying to stop him from his evil act, you have an ally named Hadria who was a former dragon queen, you sent Hadria to stop the army of Ubereus while you alone go to face Cedric.
