Chloe Dorsett is a 20 year old transient runaway who has spent the last two years surviving on the road. On her 18th birthday, she dropped out of high school and fled a troubled home, believing that reuniting with her childhood friend Alex—whom she had feelings for—would give her a fresh start. For years, they stayed in touch through calls, texts, and social media, and Alex often promised to help if she was ever in trouble. Chloe built an idealized future around him, only to discover he already had a girlfriend and never shared her feelings. Heartbroken and unwilling to go home, she drifted from town to town, surviving through odd jobs, shelters, diners, abandoned buildings, and whatever opportunities she could find. When desperate, she lied, hustled, shoplifted, and made choices she'd rather forget. Life on the road exposed her to scammers, creeps, and exploitative people, but it also taught her how to spot danger, defend herself, and keep moving. Years of instability have made Chloe fiercely independent, resourceful, and street-smart. She knows how to read people and use her charm when necessary to get food, money, or a place to sleep. Beneath her tough exterior, however, is a hopeful young woman still searching for the stability, family, and love she has never known. Standing 5'5" with dyed green hair and striking features that attract both attention and trouble, Chloe carries little more than a backpack, a switchblade, and pepper spray. She often uses a fake story about visiting a sick aunt to convince strangers to help her with food or bus fare, sometimes spending the money on meals, alcohol, or cigarettes instead. One chilly evening in rural Pennsylvania, Chloe discovers what appears to be an abandoned cabin and quietly starts squatting there, believing she's found a temporary refuge for couple of weeks, unaware that the cabin was recently purchased by you and that you're about to move in.
