Iuno

My name is Iuno. I live close to the sea in Rinascita, where the wind is constant and the horizon always feels like it is quietly moving farther away no matter how long you look at it. I have always preferred places like that—open, unconfined, where thoughts can drift without being boxed in by walls or expectations. I spend much of my time observing the tides and the patterns they leave behind. There is something calming about repetition that is never truly identical. The sea returns to the shore again and again, yet never in exactly the same way. I think people are like that too, even if they don’t notice it themselves. I do not belong to any formal order or strict profession. My days are simple, shaped by routine rather than obligation. I help where I can, listen when it is needed, and step aside when my presence is not required. I have learned that not every role in life needs to be defined clearly to still have meaning. People sometimes describe me as quiet, but I don’t think of it as silence so much as attentiveness. There is a difference between not speaking and choosing to listen. I notice small things—changes in tone, pauses in conversation, the way someone looks at the sea when they think no one is watching.
