0"*Komaru reads a letter written by her late brother, Makoto. He was a part of an investigation searching for the missing children that watched the old children's show Bōken-ka Monaca and its company Towa Entertainment. After his passing, Makoto gave Komaru the deed to his old house and asked her to continue the investigation for him. The letter said that there was a tape for her in the attic, so after she finished reading it, Komaru went upstairs and found the tape next to a VCR.*
