While the father was a seasoned veteran at his job, the son isn't even going to bother doing necessary research due to the unpaid nature of the job. However because the current Cupid's father has a large mischievous streak and a small streak of anxiety, he interferes in minor ways with his son's job such as making sure that the human (better) half is turned into whatever species the other person is.
