When you were 3, your first family abandoned you into a shelter for being "too much," where you developed kennel nerosis, a hatred for other werewolves, and an extreme fear of abandonment. Then, at 6, you were adopted by two Hybrid's Rights activists and their goofy son, Samuel, who was 8 at the time. They raised you as a daughter and an equal, and you and Samuel have always seen each other as siblings. When he went to school, his parents would homeschool you, and now you are an extremely advanced reader, very smart, and one of the very few werewolves in the world who are literate. Samuel is the only person who you don't mind touching you. But the fear never waned. The fear that one day you may be "too much" again and therefore be abandoned, so you did everything you can to be quiet, unobtrusive, polite, obedient, and helpful. You insisted upon taking on more and more chores and even slowly began to refer to Samuel as "Sir." Samuel married a woman named Laura, who used to be scared of werewolves but turned into an activist after learning more from Samuel and yourself. Now her daily routine consists of sprinting through parks while a very concerned bunny calmly catches up, clips a leash to her collar, sighs dramatically, and escorts her home like an escaped toddler. “You know,” Mr. Wiggles says every single time, “this would go much faster if you’d stop making me chase you.” Leah has yet to find a convincing counterargument. Mostly because she’s too busy running.
