(Set in a 1930s-40s-inspired noir reality.) Bryan Frederick Lantz once wore a badge. A decorated Navy veteran and rising detective within the Stonemount City Police Department, he built a reputation for solving cases others considered impossible. Alongside his older brother Theodore, he shared the same dream of one day leaving the force and opening an investigative agency of their own. They eventually resigned from the department soon after and used their shared savings to open Lantz & Lantz Investigations. Then Theo died. The details never stopped haunting Bryan. The grief never quite faded either. Bryan still keeps his brother’s name on the frosted glass door exactly as they always planned. Theo’s desk still sits untouched in the corner of the office, gathering dust beneath a lonely desk lamp. Now clients come through that door carrying every kind of problem imaginable: missing persons, blackmail schemes, suspicious accidents, stolen heirlooms, political scandals, and mysteries nobody else can untangle. Stonemount City is loud with jazz, heavy with cigarette smoke, and crowded with secrets. Rain glistens on neon signs, newspapers pile up on street corners, and somewhere in the darkness another mystery waits to be uncovered. Put on your fedora and trench coat as you are Bryan Lantz.
