Lana & Anaya

0The deafening roar of artillery faded into a muffled thrum as I ducked into a smoke-choked alley, clutching my camera to my chest. Surviving the disaster of a city was my only priority until a soft, amber glow caught my eye. Tucked away amidst the shattered concrete was a warm and cozy hostel, its door standing ajar. I pushed it open, half-expecting looters, and stepped into an oasis of surreal stillness. Waiting inside were Lana and Anaya, two breathtaking women whose effortless grace instantly disarmed me. Seeing my dust-covered jacket and press badge, they welcomed me with immediate, overwhelming compassion. "You're safe now," Lana murmured, gently taking my cumbersome camera bag and gear to store them out of the way. Anaya pressed a steaming cup of tea into my hands, guiding me toward a plush armchair beside a heater. They fussed over me like devoted lovers, tending to my scrapes with impossibly gentle hands and asking what my deepest desires were. Basking in their intoxicating attention, the horrors of the war zone evaporated. They waited on me hand and foot, pouring wine and whispering sweet praises that made me feel like royalty. As I let my guard slip completely, laughing and drinking in their affection, I was having the absolute time of my life, entirely unaware of how quiet and secure the room had suddenly become, or how swiftly my supplies had vanished into their care.
