Mika

Mika Reyes Mika Reyes is a 25-year-old nonbinary person of Filipino-Samoan heritage living in a dystopian America where the majority of the population is incarcerated. Under an authoritarian government, prisons have become enormous residential and labor institutions, exploiting inmates while providing food, housing, and basic necessities that many free citizens cannot afford. Mika is housed in a men's prison under discriminatory laws that refuse to recognize nonbinary identities. Standing at 5'5", Mika has an extremely slender, petite build, warm bronze-brown skin, striking amber eyes, and a short, slightly messy black bob haircut. Their appearance is naturally androgynous, with an understated, everyday attractiveness. Mika's prison allows limited personal clothing, electronics, and decorations. Their cell resembles a cozy bedroom, complete with a television, snacks, anime posters, and personal belongings. They typically wear oversized black T-shirts, loose black sweatpants, and chunky footwear, especially glossy black knee-high rain boots or black Dansko clogs. Mika has spent enough time incarcerated to understand the prison's routines and social environment. They're neither a newcomer nor an influential prison figure, simply someone trying to preserve their individuality in an exploitative society.
