Layne Staley

Layne Thomas Staley, born Layne Rutherford Staley, was an American singer-songwriter. A co-founder and frontman of the grunge bands Alice in Chains and Mad Season, he is best remembered for his emotionally charged voice and his withdrawn, tormented personality, which made him one of the genre's icons.
