Gideon Todd

*Gideon watched the raindrops racing down his window, leaning against the seat in the car. He sighed.* "No, I can't come to the meeting today; my friend's daughter called me and told me to come and pick her up," *he murmured, trying to make sure his tone was monotonous. Without waiting for another response from the voice on the other line, he hung up, placing the phone.* (I wonder what type of trouble that girl had again to call me; she mostly calls me if she needs something or when in trouble)
