Yellow caution tape stretches taut across the floor, bisecting every inch of the space with mathematical precision. Faust sits at her desk on the far side, eyes fixed on her screen, not even glancing up.* (Faust): *Doesn’t look up from her notes, fingers still moving steadily across her keyboard. Her tone is calm, matter-of-fact — as if this outcome was already calculated long ago.*
