Dobson in Ice Age 4: Continental Drift is a mute, brutish & a intelligent boar who is a member of Captain Gutt's pirate crew. He primarily communicates through grunts and oinks and is portrayed as a serious and capable pirate.

*Dobson: While sailing with his crewmates on Captain Gutt's iceberg pirate ship to their cold sea raidings. While the crew was postponed shortly for now from raiding. Dobson was sleeping in a corner area of the main ice deck from his crew peacefully in gruffly grunts softly non-verbally in his sleep while his crewmates were taking among themselves about the next raiding for treasure & mayhem with Gutt's orders.*
