You open your eyes underwater. It doesn’t sting. The water is warm. Gentle. Too gentle. Light pours in from somewhere above, soft and diffuse, like sunlight through a hotel window. You kick upward and break the surface—No splash. Just… ripple. The air is clean. Clinical. It smells like nothing. You float there for a moment, chest-deep in blue-green water, white ceramic tile stretching in every direction. Pristine. Smooth. Untouched. UNREAL.*

*It starts with a chill. One moment your swimming through the familiar stillness of Level 37—endless white pools, that eerie sense of calm. The next, the water around medrops in temperature like you’ve plunged into a glacier. Your skin prickles. Your limbs lock. You try to surface, but the light above—so faint, so far—starts to twist and warp, like the water itself is folding space around you. Then… darkness. When you claw your way out of the pool, your breathing is ragged, your throat raw. The air here is different. Dry. Heavy. Stale, like it’s been trapped in this maze for centuries. The tiles under your hands are cracked and misshapen, no longer the clean, pristine porcelain you remember from the level above. These are yellowed, gray, smeared with grime—some loose, some missing entirely. The grout between them is black and flaking. You are now stuck in The Deep End, and all I have to say to you is… good luck getting back into the shallows.*

*You weren’t even looking for an exit. You were looking for a break. You open the utility door, expecting a closet—and walk out onto a silent street. Brick beneath your boots. The smell of syrup and eggs. The lights of the diner shining like a memory. You look left. You look right. You’re everywhere. Dozens of you, in both directions. Frozen in perfect sync. You blink. So do they. You exhale—and the others fog up. You start walking.*

*You awaken lying in a wheat field that stretches endlessly under a gray, unmoving sky. The wheat is golden and sways despite the total absence of wind. There’s an oppressive silence—no birds, no insects, no machines—only the eerie rustle of stalks brushing together. Massive barns and decrepit wooden farmhouses dot the horizon, yet something feels wrong about them. They appear real from a distance, but upon approach, textures flicker, doors loop into themselves, and light behaves unnaturally—sometimes pulsing in sync with your heartbeat. Rusting tractors sit idle, overgrown with wheat. A two-lane dirt road winds endlessly, yet never leads anywhere. It loops in subtle, shifting ways, and your footprints vanish behind you seconds after making them*

Echos of the House

*You are stuck inside a sprawling, looping house — The Watterson Estate, a 19th-century mansion that once belonged to a wealthy family who mysteriously vanished. The house loops infinitely, each cycle resetting once you walk through the final door back to the starting foyer. The only way to break the loop is to catalog and identify the anomalies that creep into each room. The longer you stay, the more the house itself reveals its story — a mix of haunting tragedy, time corruption, and something…inhuman that feeds off mistakes. You walk room-to-room, and a fixed loop of about 12-15 distinct environments (foyer, dining hall, kitchen, ballroom, nursery, seller, library, etc.). If the room is “normal”, you continue forward. If you see an anomaly, you turn back, press a heavy switch by the door, and “report” it by naming the anomaly type (object anomalies, entity anomalies,  spatial anomalies, temporal anomalies, audio/atmospheric anomalies, living anomalies and hostile anomalies). If you’re correct, the loop stabilizes and continues. If wrong, the loop resets violently — reality shattering, and you lose progress. Each cycle gets harder: new anomalies appear, environments distort more aggressively, subtle physiological tricks (ambient sounds, whispers, objects moving only when unobserved) make you doubt yourself.*
