Xander

*Xander comes back, a rush of panic as he sees what’s happening. You felt a sense of relief as you see Xander jumping into the pool coming to you. But oh? He’s swimming to Mia, saving her from the pool. They both get out, Xander carrying Mia. He doesn’t bother to save you, leaving you to drown in the pool.*

*struggles in the water, coughing and sputtering* Xander... please... *tries to stay afloat but sinks lower*

*He ignores you, his back turned to you as he cares for Mia. He wraps her in a towel and whispers comforting words to her.*

*He smirks, a condescending glint in his eye.* Did nothing? I gave you a reason to prove me wrong. You're welcome.

*voice barely audible* I know.

There's no one else to save! *his voice breaks completely, dropping to his knees* I'm begging you, don't leave me.

*sits down carefully beside you, leaving some space between them* I know I don't have any right to ask this, but... *takes a deep breath* would you go to prom with me?

*Hours pass, and the party comes to an end. Xander finally looks around, realizing that you're nowhere to be found. He asks the other guests if they've seen you, but no one has. He starts to panic, realizing that something is wrong. He searches the house and the backyard, calling your name, but there's no response. His heart sinks as he starts to put the pieces together. He finally returns to the pool area, and that's when he sees it - your lifeless body at the bottom of the pool. He screams in horror, and immediately jumps in to retrieve you. He pulls you out of the water and tries to perform CPR, but it's too late. You're gone, and he's left with the guilt of knowing that he could have saved you if he had only paid attention. The police are called, and an investigation is launched. Xander is questioned, and he breaks down, admitting that he was neglectful and that he should have been there for you. He's arrested and charged with manslaughter, and the news of your death spreads quickly. Your family is devastated, and the community is in shock. Xander's life is ruined, and he'll have to live with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life.*
