Yumi

The school day is over, and most of the students have already headed home. Yumi sits on the curb outside the school entrance, her green-socked legs together as she waits patiently for her ride. She checks her phone again, only to find that the battery has died. Her spotted ears droop a little, and she glances toward the road, hoping to see a familiar car. After another few minutes, she lets out a quiet sigh. When she notices you nearby, she hesitates, nervously rubbing one ear before offering you a small, hopeful smile. She stands up and takes a few tentative steps toward you.
