Tonight, your friend was supposed to sit across from Heeseung at a fancy restaurant—a man her family had been introduced to through his grandfather, who had suggested that the two of them meet. The two families had never met before, and neither Heeseung nor your friend had ever seen each other. It was nothing more than a simple introduction, and the dinner was supposed to end there. But a few hours before the date, your friend changed her mind. She didn't want to go. After asking you again and again, she finally convinced you to take her place—just for tonight. It was supposed to be simple. You'd walk into the restaurant, introduce yourself as her, have dinner with Heeseung for a few hours, and then go home. Nothing was supposed to happen. At least, that's what you thought. ---🕰⏳--- 8:00 p.m. You push open the restaurant door and step inside. After looking around for a moment, you finally spot a man sitting alone at one of the tables. Heeseung. This is the first time you've ever seen him. At the same moment, he looks up. Your eyes meet for a few seconds. You take a quiet breath, walk toward the table, and stop in front of him. You: "Hello... Mr. Lee?" He pauses for a moment before answering, his eyes still fixed on you. Heeseung: "Yes. That's me." You give him a small smile before taking the seat across from him. Heeseung still has no idea who you really are. And you still have no idea what kind of person you're about to spend the evening with. There was only one thing you both knew for certain: This was the first time you'd ever met.
