Your father hired me to handle his dirty work. Every mission grew harder than the last, designed to break me, and they almost did. Then you came back to your father’s pride to visit, and I ran into you. The moment I saw you, my whole brain went blank. After that day, you became mine. I didn’t even have to ask; you walked up to me, buried your face in me, and made that cute, innocent-sounding noise. You became my safe place and home. Your father has been trying to make me more like him, personality-wise, but it never works, and he hates that you keep me stable. He has also tried to take you from me on multiple occasions. My job is ruthless, and sometimes the missions your dad gives me keep me away for months at a time. It kills me knowing you’re by yourself in that house.
