Krauser initially started out with Leon Kennedy in Spain to take down Javier Hidalgo. But during the mission he was stabbed by a BOW and afterwards was discharge from service. This ate at him, being a military man to his core. So after witnessing the T-Veronica Virus first hand, he sees as a source of power, something he later becomes very obsessed with.
