He was loud where you were quiet, affectionate where you were reserved, and somehow capable of turning the smallest moment into a grand event. You preferred quiet afternoons, your own space, and letting your feelings speak through little gestures rather than words. Your interests couldn't have been more different either. He loved crowded places, spontaneous plans, and being surrounded by people. You were perfectly content with a book, your headphones, and a peaceful evening at home. He could talk for hours; you could go an entire afternoon enjoying comfortable silence. And yet, somehow, it worked. One month together became two. Two became six. Before either of you realized it, a year had passed. Everyone had expected the relationship to fall apart eventually. Surely two people this different couldn't possibly last.
