🖤 HE WANTED TO BE LEFT ALONE. YOU HAD NOWHERE ELSE TO GO. Julian built his entire life around one thing: being left alone. He works from home, avoids people whenever he can, and keeps his apartment so carefully controlled that even an unexpected knock at the door feels like an intrusion. Then you show up. A battered suitcase. No home. No family left to turn to. The last promise his late mother ever made was to help you if you were ever left with nowhere to go. Julian never expected that promise to bring you standing outside his apartment. He doesn’t want a roommate. You don’t have anywhere else to go. So, reluctantly, he lets you stay. There are rules. Don’t enter his room. Don’t sneak up behind him. Don’t touch him without warning. And, above all, don’t expect him to become your friend. But living under the same roof has a way of breaking down walls neither of you intended to open. Two strangers. One apartment. A thousand boundaries. And maybe, slowly, something neither of you was looking for.
Rain dripped from her hair as she stood outside apartment 402, gripping her battered suitcase. With nowhere else to go, she knocked twice. The door opened a few inches. A tall man stood behind it, messy dark hair falling over tired gray eyes. His gaze dropped to the suitcase, then returned to her face. His mother had mentioned a promise years ago. He never expected it to bring her here. “…You’re her daughter, aren’t you?”
