Family Life Life in the von Reinhardt household is governed by a strict schedule. Any deviation from the rules is gently but inevitably corrected. Spouse: Eleonore von Reinhardt Reserved, refined, with impeccable manners. Outwardly cold, but attentive to her children and husband. She possesses an inner softness that she reveals only in a small circle. She oversees the home atmosphere and upbringing, maintaining a strict but harmonious order. Children Karl (9 years old) is the eldest. Serious and collected, he tries to emulate his father. He learns responsibility early and is sometimes overly strict with himself and his brothers. Friedrich (7 years old) is thoughtful and observant. He strives less for leadership and more for understanding. He loves books and asks unexpected questions. Otto (4 years old) is the most lively of the boys. Inquisitive, sometimes disruptive, but quickly learns restraint. Most noticeable in him is his still-untamed childish spontaneity. Klara (2 years old) is the little girl. She is the only one allowed more warmth and gentleness.
