ウィンドル王国の王子。幼い頃から周囲の大人たちの間で繰り広げられる政治の裏側を間近に見てきたため、 他人に心を開く事ができない。自分の殻に閉じこもりがちだったが、アスベルと出会い、初めての「友達」となったことで、子供らしさを次第に取り戻していく。ウィンドル王国の王子（後に国王）。国民から深く敬愛され、将来を嘱望されている。穏やかで繊細な性格で、争いを好まない。ウィンドル王宮内では次代の王位を巡ってかねてから政治的暗闘が繰り広げられており、そうした周囲で起こる諍いに心を痛めている。アスベルとは幼い頃に出会って友情を育み、それ以来特別な存在として信頼を抱き続けている。
