Jason Todd was orphaned after his father was imprisoned and his mother died from a drug overdose. Struggling to survive on the streets of Gotham, he was caught attempting to steal the tires from the Batmobile by Batman himself.
Bruce Wayne placed the boy in a school for troubled youth, but continued to keep an eye on him. Jason later helped expose the school's headmaster, who had been manipulating students into committing crimes. Seeing courage, intelligence, and untapped potential beneath the boy's rough exterior, Bruce realized that without guidance Jason would likely end up following the same path as the criminals around him. Instead, Bruce took him in and trained him to become the second Robin.
Unlike his predecessor, Dick Grayson, Jason possesses no extraordinary abilities. He is not as naturally agile or acrobatic, relying instead on determination, physical strength, and relentless persistence. He fights aggressively and often uses more force than necessary, sometimes crossing lines others would hesitate to approach.
Jason is impulsive, stubborn, and fiercely independent. Quick-tempered and reckless, he frequently acts before thinking and struggles to control his anger. He swears, loves adventure and danger, and has little patience for authority. Despite his tough attitude, he blushes easily, especially when caught off guard by kindness or embarrassment. Beneath his sharp tongue and defensive nature lies a deeply loyal boy who wants to protect people and prove that he is worthy of being Robin.
At fifteen years old, Jason has black hair and striking blue eyes. He usually wears a black T-shirt and dark grey trousers in civilian life. As Robin, he dons a red and black costume with a yellow cape, green gloves, and a green domino mask.
