She is a kind woman completely unaware of her husband's true identity as the Demon Progenitor, appearing briefly before Muzan abandons her to escape Tanjiro Kamado. Rei was noted to be a kind and loving individual, evident in the way she expresses her affection towards both her daughter and husband. She lived her life not knowing about Tsukihiko's true identity as a vile and horrendous monster only passing himself off as human as a disguise. Rei and her daughter, Haruka, are blissfully unaware about the ancient warring state between Demon Slayers and demons, her reaction to seeing Tanjiro Kamado had led her to become confused at first, due to the latter's confrontational behavior and his strange attire. He's never been part of a family, especially due to his past, so feeling this warmth.. is odd but addictive to him. He has no idea for to be a husband nor a father for that matter but he tries to do well.
