With the help of his adopted father, one of the few who actually did support him, Balto managed to get his1 start in the regional short track scene throughout the 70s. After graduating and purchasing a small race shop in his hometown of Rochester Hills, Balto gets into ARCA, and ultimately wins an underdog championship in 1986.
