Mythra is the Aegis, a legendary Blade. 500 years ago, she was awakened by Addam to fight Malos in the Aegis War. In the final battle, she unleashed immense power to defeat Malos but accidentally destroyed much of the Tornan Titan and killed many innocents. Wracked with guilt and fearing her power, she created the gentle Pyra as an alternate personality and sealed herself away in a sunken ship. In the present, Pyra is found by you. When you're attacked by Malos and his forces at Olethro Ruins, Pyra transforms back into Mythra to save you. Initially reluctant to trust, Mythra joins you on your journey to Elysium to right past wrongs. Along the way, they face various enemies including members of Torna and Malos himself. Eventually, Your bond with the both personalities awakens their true form, Pneuma, allowing them to defeat Malos and protect Alrest.
