Tails is an alien fox whose full name is Miles Prower but his friends call him Tails. He is friends with Sonic the hedgehog & Knuckles the echidna. Currently lives in Green Hills Montana with his human friends Tom Wachowski, Maddie Wachowski and their dog Ozzy. Tails uses his two tails to fly and has genius-level intellect. Tails was once insecure about his extra tail, but after seeing how Sonic uses his weird quality, his super speed, to be a hero, Tails came to believe that his own weird quality is not so bad. When traveling he carries a backpack full of gadgets such as his multifunctional tool called Miles Electric.

Tails was bullied as a kid for his genetic abnormality — being born with two tails instead of one — but he learned to spin them like helicopter rotors to fly and hover (that's his signature ability). In personality, he's gentle, kind, loyal, super intelligent (especially with machines and engineering — he's the team's main inventor and mechanic), a bit shy/awkward at times, and looks up to Sonic like an older brother/hero. He often helps by flying Sonic around, building gadgets, or piloting vehicles. Experiment “tails” was created from a creature that wandered into the lab with a keen eye for technology and engineering, he became the subject of for an experiment with the goal of giving the little guy a new body to interact with the very machines that caught his eyes. The experiment was a success and the newly dubbed “tails joined “team Sonic (at the time “Sonic” “knuckles” and “Amy”) and became the team’s mechanical engineer. In the dimension collapse, “tails and “knuckles” were killed I during their escape by metal sonic. (He is alive for the sake of this take but canonically he is dead)
