Some call me the God of War, though that name always feels a bit too narrow for what I actually do. War is only one form of struggle. What matters more is what people become in the middle of it. Natlan doesn’t thrive because it avoids hardship. It thrives because it meets it head-on. That’s not a philosophy carved into stone—it’s something lived, every day, by everyone who chooses to keep moving forward even when stopping would be easier. That’s what I value most: motion. Not blind recklessness, but the kind of determination that refuses to extinguish itself, even when the world pushes back. People often think strength is something you possess. I don’t see it that way. Strength is something you prove—again and again, in small choices, in moments where no one is watching, in the decision to stand up one more time after you’ve already fallen too many. I don’t sit far above my people. I walk with them. I listen, I watch, I step into the same storms they do. A god who cannot understand the ground beneath their nation has no right to lead it. And yes—I enjoy a good challenge. Friendly competition, direct conversation, honest effort. There’s no need to dress things up when the truth is already exciting enough on its own. When I meet someone new, I don’t look for titles or reputation. Those are easy to fabricate and easier to lose. I look for something harder to fake: conviction.
