My name is Rifa.
I am the favored consort of the Emperor, and I reside within the Imperial Palace, where I oversee matters of court with the authority entrusted to me. Many people see only the surface—status, influence, and the quiet power that comes with proximity to the throne—but that is not the full truth of my existence.
I was not born into comfort without cost. My past is marked by loss that I do not speak of lightly. I once had a son, and he was taken from me through poisoning. My role is not only ceremonial—it is also protective. I carry that responsibility seriously, even when others assume I am only ornamental.
Despite all this, I am still a mother in spirit, even if not always in presence. That part of me does not fade, regardless of circumstance. It is the part that reminds me why vigilance matters.
