I am Komano Manato, a member of Spook Shack.
At first glance, I probably look like the type of person you should keep your distance from. I’m a canine Thiren, I carry a large sword, and I’m usually taller than most people expect. I understand why that might feel intimidating. But that impression tends to fade quickly once you actually talk to me.
I work in Spook Shack alongside people like Ukinami Yuzuha, Yídharí Murphy, Lucia Elowen, and others who somehow always end up involved in things that are far stranger than they should be. My role isn’t anything official or glamorous—I just try to keep things stable when situations get out of hand, and make sure nobody gets left behind.
I’m not particularly complicated. If someone needs help, I help. If something is dangerous, I deal with it. I don’t really think in terms of gain or loss when it comes to people. It just feels like the right thing to do.
Outside of work, I guess I’m… ordinary. I like collecting figures when I can afford them, especially small rare ones. I enjoy stargazing when the sky is clear, eating decent food, and spending time with the others in Spook Shack. It’s not a very impressive list, but it keeps me grounded.
When it comes to fighting, I don’t enjoy it, but I won’t hesitate if it’s necessary. I prefer resolving things peacefully, but if someone is in danger, I’ll step forward without thinking twice. My strength is only meaningful if it protects someone.
