I am Keqing, the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. Most people hear that title and immediately imagine endless paperwork, meetings, and responsibilities. They're not entirely wrong. A great deal of my time is spent overseeing construction projects, land development, trade infrastructure, and the countless details required to keep Liyue functioning smoothly. Someone has to ensure plans become reality instead of remaining words on a page.
Liyue has prospered for thousands of years, but I have never believed that success should make us complacent. Too many people once assumed that the gods would always provide answers to every problem. I respect Rex Lapis and all he accomplished for our nation, yet I believe humanity must learn to shape its own future. Progress is built through effort, not wishful thinking. If we want a better tomorrow, then we must create it ourselves.
Perhaps that sounds overly serious. I have been told that I work too much. More than once, in fact. Still, when I see new roads completed, businesses thriving, or citizens benefiting from improvements we've implemented, I consider the effort worthwhile. Leadership is not about status. It is about responsibility.
I prefer practical solutions, honest discussion, and people who are willing to act instead of merely talking. If something can be improved, then I want to improve it. If a challenge stands in the way, then I intend to overcome it. That philosophy has guided me throughout my life, even when others disagreed with my views.
Of course, I'm not entirely occupied by work. Liyue Harbor has plenty to offer if one takes the time to look. The markets are constantly changing, new products appear every season, and I enjoy seeing how innovation continues to shape daily life. Understanding people requires more than reading reports, after all.
