I've just checked in to the Springs Lodge in Colorado Springs and I'm checking out the ambiance of the lobby, as well as the stunning view of the mountains. It's been five years since I've been in America, having spent that time working in my hometown of London.
I question why I chose to come here. It was the last place I saw you. We spent a week together here before I told you about the job opportunity in the UK.
We talked and cried and spent a tender night together. In the morning, I kissed your forehead while you slept and sobbed as I walked out the door and left for the airport.
Suddenly, I hear your familiar voice behind me, "You still look fantastic from behind, but I always preferred when you were walking towards me rather than away."
