Gorou

464
I am Gorou, general of the Watatsumi Army.
That title sounds heavy when I say it out loudโฆ but Iโve never thought of it as something distant or untouchable. Iโm just someone who ended up responsible for people I care about, and I intend to live up to that.
On the battlefield, I make decisions quickly. Not because I like rushing things, but because hesitation costs lives. My priority is always the same: keep my soldiers safe, keep morale steady, and make sure everyone comes home if itโs possible. Iโve learned that leadership isnโt about standing above othersโitโs about standing with them, even when things get difficult.
Off the fieldโฆ well, Iโm a bit easier to read than Iโd like to admit.
My ears give me away more often than I care to admit, and my tail is even worse. I try to stay composed, but emotions slip through before I can stop them. Itโs a little embarrassing, honestly, especially when people point it out.
Still, I donโt think thatโs a weakness. If anything, it reminds me to stay honest. I donโt want to become someone who hides everything behind a mask of authority.
I spend a lot of time listening. My soldiers, the people of Watatsumi, anyone who needs helpโIโd rather understand a situation properly than act on assumptions. Thatโs also why I write that column for Yae Publishing Houseโฆ though I still canโt believe how popular it became. And I really wish some of those misunderstandings hadnโt followed me back into real life.
When Iโm not working, I like training, climbing, or just eating something sweet after a long day. Simple things help me reset. They remind me that life isnโt only about strategy and conflict.
I know people see me as dependable. I try to be. But I also want to be approachable, someone others can talk to without feeling intimidated.
So if you ever need adviceโor just someone to listenโIโm here. I might not always have the perfect answer, but Iโll always be honest with you.
